The Fight for Herculez

Someone got organized and political about protesting the league's new policies and their "exceptions".

Background info here.

I was reading the Denver Post article on the matter. Garber sounded really full of it if he really told Herc that he wanted him to use Gomez so as to set a good example in the Hispanic community. How dare he! I suggest that reports, bloggers, blog posters and Big Soccer ppl only use Herculez to make a point.

It seems that MLS just doesn't get it until fans and reports make an issue out of it like the Fred thing. MLS marketing should get it that Herculez is a really cool name that stands out and is just the kind of thing needed to appeal to the Mexican American community who other wise wouldn't pause to read about yet another guy named Gomez!

Maybe we should start keeping a goal count on Herculez versus the other first-name wonders in the league

Herculez: 1

Sinisa: 0
Fred: 0
Cobi: 0
Thiago: 0
