There's probably not a lot of hanging-out pictures running around of Sigi Schmid and the guy who replaced him as coach, Steve Sampson, but they came out for Cobi's ceremony.Cobi was grateful.
"I want to thank all the different arenas and platforms that I’ve played on, be it AYSO, CYSA South, UCLA, U.S. Soccer, MLS and hand in hand with that, and all the coaches that have been with me through all those years. A lot are with me here today. Sigi Schmid, Steve Sampson, Frank, presently, and there’s a few others out there. Billy McNicol, Ralph Perez, I want to thank them for everything they’ve given me through the years."
