No shot

I'm officially on the record of giving D.C. United no chance against Chivas next Wednesday.

Honestly, a D.C. win would be good for MLS in some ways and I do think D.C. is a good team but they'll lose next week.

Of course, if D.C. pulls off the upset, I'll gladly eat crow and take a picture of it. Or maybe I'll eat some nasty dish that I normally wouldn't eat, like sushi, and pretend its crow. How's that? I'll have Andrea take a picture of it.

Sure - I like sushi. If Chivas loses, lunch is on you for giving DC no chance.

The two matches in Mexico next week should be very exciting for all MLS fans. True "barometer" games for MLS teams only come around once in a while. If MLS teams have truly grown in the last year or two, we will see some good performances in Mexico. If they both get blown out, we'll learn something with that result as well.

I don't like to prognosticate in soccer and I never -- and I mean never -- make any guarantee picks. Having said that, I guarantee that Chivas will beat DC next week, probably badly. I'm an MLS supporter through and through but I also live on Earth and on Earth DC can't win in Guadalajara.

I have no patience for realism. Go DC United!
