No matter what Frank Yallop says about David Beckham joining the team, it's what he can't express in words that shows most clearly how pleased he is at the turn of events.Frank's smile and obvious relief at meeting Beckham and finding first-hand that the big star is excited to become part of the squad was telling.
I respect a lot of coaches around the league, but I also think that Frank is uniquely suited to coach Beckham. He really gets along well with his players. He's very fair and upfront, and manages to be demanding without being pushy. He's also pretty calm and articulate under all the new extended press demands. That stuff all matters.
