For the first time since the retirement of Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy and Joy Fawcett, the U.S. women's team is ranked number 1 in the world.
It's taken a while, and it many only be a small statistical sign, but I think it's an important one. It shows the new generation is establishing itself.
