Auld Lang Syne

Some of the younger fans might have wondered why a Columbus Crew player was happily signing Galaxy shirts alongside Nathan Sturgis and Tyrone Marshall after the Crew/Galaxy charity game tonight in Santa Clarita.

The Galaxy die-hards present were clamoring for his signature, though, because that's Ezra Hendrickson, the St. Vincent and Grenadines player who helped Los Angeles win their first championship ever in 2002.

As the LA Riot Squad sings, "One of us!"

Who can ever forget Ezra's memorable game against Olimpia at the LA Coliseum to help the Galaxy win the CONCACAF Champions Cup?

Ezra is a class guy, through and through.

LB...I read this post on my news reader and came on here just to post about that match. What a great match he had that day. :)

I think that was the best game he played for the Galaxy, maybe in his career. Man among men that day.
