Didn't get to use this for any stories and the quality of the audio sucks so here's a bit of what David Beckham had to say yesterday about not being in the England squad for Wednesday's game.
I half expected it because I know what Fabio Capello is like as a manager. If he thinks you're not fit and you're not ready to play then he won't put you on the team. I totally respect that and I totally understand that. A lot of the Premiership players have played about 15 games the last two months and I haven't played a game since December, so to be brought into the squad is probably unfair. I've done everything I could to make myself available.
