San Jose added to what is shaping out to be a decent defense corps by adding Ramiro Corrales from Brann via Houston. According to Bernardo Fallas, Corrales joins San Jose for some allocation money.
Corrales joins Nick Garcia, Jason Hernandez and Ryan Cochrane as experienced players on San Jose's defense. Plus he's a former 'Quake, and they love their former 'Quakes up north. With Joe Cannon manning the nets, San Jose's defense doesn't seem as bad as other expansion teams' backlines.
The only question is, will the attackers score some goals to keep the pressure off the defense? Even the best defense will crack if the opponents keep the ball 60 or more percent of the time.

San Jo isn't going to give up a lot of easy goals, but, like you, I don't know where their own scoring is going to come from. Kei Kamara? I don't think so.
I know I'm not supposed to (as a Galaxy fan) but I like San Jo. I liked them before and I'll like them this year (and I like Frank Yallop). But they are, right now, looking like the past two years of the Colordo Rapids. Except, you know, without the goal scoring.
Watching them play is going to be a chore.
if the US-Mexico game is any indication, everybody attack San Jose on the right!
^^ Haha, that's what I was thinking. If he doesn't improve, his days with the national team are over. A comment in the Ronaldo eff'd up his foot post has a link to an article saying that the DC stadium might go through soon for Poplar Point!
SJ picked up a defender from the mighty Brann? EVERYONE IN THE WESTERN CONFERENCE PANIC!!
So two blog entries below, you badmouth Corrales (I agree) and here you make the case that SJ is improving an already solid backline?
Accck phhhhht. I don't wanna see Corrales on the US backline but as an LA supporter, I approve of this acquisition.
