Desire
Normally, the Gold Cup is the ugly stepsister of the regional championships, but this year, it's taken on a new allure. The U.S. and Mexico are in hot pursuit.

I am not sure about Mexico, but for my $$, U.S. should concentrate on the Copa America. I think the 06 WC proved that being best in the CONCAAF does not do much to improve your actual level of play against top teams. Instead, it lulls us into a false sense of security. We should try to actually get better, not improve rankings or collect meaningless trophies.
