Colors of the win

We'll leave aside the U.S. team's 1998 results in their red uniform. It was a great-looking uniform, actually. I never blamed it for the losses.

Milan campione

In honor of the Champions' League title, Rachel shows her loyalty to the colors of Milan.

She's as surprised as anyone about that first goal from Inzaghi.

I think that goal was the heartbreaker for Liverpool, though there was still plenty of time left in the match.

Actually, I wore this same shirt once to the Home Depot Center.

I was standing outside the main
gate, waiting to interview a member of the U.S.women's national team, when

Galaxy players passed by as they finished training.

Landon Donovan had an odd look on his face.

"Is that a Bayer Leverkusen
jersey?"

"No. AC
Milan," I told him.

"Bayer Leverkusen - does that bring back bad memories?"

He just smiled.

Show Us Your Colors! Guzano!

In our latest installment of our Show Us Your Colors! segment, I decided to post another picture of my daughter Yvie Bueno and a soccer player. Here, she poses with Chivas USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan

I'm not sure yet which way Yvie is leaning, whether she will be a Galaxy or Chivas USA supporter. Since she and her sister Kennedy seem to fight a lot, and Kennedy has displayed interest in the famed red-and-white stripes, it wouldn't surprise me to see Yvie support Beckham's team. Of course, if there were a Little Mermaid FC, Yvie would be all over that club.

Show Us Your Colors! Go Galaxy!

In our first of what we hope is a lengthy and interactive feature, a loyal reader shares with us their colors.

This comes from Mike Barloewen. Four-month-old Abby looks stunningly adorable in her green-and-gold colors. Abby, Mike and the entire Barloewen clan is undoubtedly excited now, after the Galaxy laid a whipping on Chivas USA and with Becks just around the corner. Mike shares with us that his daughter is the latest and greatest member of the LA Riot Squad. We are 138! And so is Abby!

Cheers to you, Mike for sharing this with us. And cheers to Abby for appreciating the beautiful game and supporting your local club at such a young age.

Show us your colors! 4-19

Last week, we asked people to send us pictures of them in their colors. I'll get the party started here. This is my daughter Yvie with then-Galaxy goalkeeper Kevin Hartman. Okay, so Yvie's not in her soccer colors (I'm still trying to decide what soccer clubs she's going to root for but luckily she's already been branded an L.A. Dodger fan) but she just so happened to wear her favorite color this day.

Show Us Your Colors!

We're campaigning to make this blog more interactive and fun, so we'd like to invite you, our awesome readers, to join in. We're going to make "Show Us Your Colors" a regular feature of this blog by posting pictures people send showing allegiance to teams. Jerseys, bibs, hats, flags, posters, etc, tifosi, murals, whatever team you support and wherever you are, take a pic and send it in to LA Soccer Edit[at] aol.com. (Just take out the spaces and put in the @ symbol where it should go.) If you show your colors next to any famous landmarks, so much the better!

Originally, Luis was to take a pic of his living doll, his daughter Yvie, in a Chivas USA jersey to kick off this feature. I was supposed to get my cat into an LA Galaxy T-shirt. The cat wasn't as cooperative as cutie-pie Yvie. So I used my ragdoll, Rachel, as a model instead.

There's no rules, really, you can be a fan of a team at home or abroad in any league - just be a fan showing your pride in your team.
