A vote of no confidence?

Or covering their backsides?

Chivas USA traded for Zach Thornton from the New York Red Bulls.

Dan Kennedy will likely start in goal but with Lance Parker the number two option, the experience level in goal was pretty limited. Thornton certainly gives the club some experience, a wealth of it. The deal was for future considerations, so there isn't much to lose on that end.

We'll see what Kennedy can do in Chicago on Saturday. Thus far, he hasn't been the steadiest goalkeeper as he lost games to RSL and New England but was in goal against Santos when Chivas USA won 1-0.

Hey, how much does this guy weigh? Mobility? I thought I saw this dude working as a bouncer at Sacha K's hangout Les Deux, whistling "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown." No funds for Keller or anyone kinda fit?

l.b., Chivas USA had to do this; Kennedy is too raw to be handed the starting spot at this stage, especially w/Chivas USA contending for a playoff spot.

It's a wonder that Chivas USA didn't try to secure a more experienced backup before, given the distinct possibility that they would lose Guzan.

I guess Alexi Lalas Disease isn't limited to just the Galaxy side of HDC...
