Gol TV has my favorite soccer announcer, Phil Schoen.
Problem is, it's not that easy to find the channel any more.
It's only on DIRECTV.
And as far as what's only on GolTV - the upcoming 2010 World Cup qualifying matches and exclusive TV coverage of Spain’s La Liga.
it was started and is still currently owned by Uruguay's legend Enzo Francescolli. It's a great channel with good original programming like American Soccer. I would only wish they would televise CONCACAF world cup qualifiers. Even though Traffic holds the rights to most CONCACAF teams. A boy can dream though, right?
ReplyDeleteI love Gol TV, Bundesliga is exclusive as well, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIts also on Comcast.
ReplyDeleteits also on the AT&T uverse tv package
ReplyDeleteAs well as charter...Channel 414!
ReplyDeleteit's on Cox here in south OC/San Diego
ReplyDeleteApparently it's also coming to Time Warner New York
ReplyDeleteLove me some Gol TV. Thank god I've got DirecTV; if I had Dish, I'd be looking into switching right about now (Dish recently dropped Gol TV from its lineup).
ReplyDeleteTime-Warner Hollywood, too.
ReplyDeleteGolTV annoys me by putting Phil Schoen and Ray Hudson over the La Liga broadcasts from their studios in Miami, rather than the English language commentary they get from inside the stadium itself. I stopped watching American Soccer when it became the US Navy show. Still, gotta have it...
ReplyDeleteAC--get yourself familiar with myp2p.eu and the world of Sopcast, TV Ants, etc.!
Here in Richmond, VA, it's available on both Comcast and Verizon (FIOS).
