1. New England (7-3-2). As long as Chicago isn't around, New England has the tools for yet another MLS Cup run.
2. Chicago (6-3-1). No truth to the rumor that Fire petitioned league to play rest of schedule on the road.
3. Houston (4-3-5). Suddenly, Houston is at top of Western Conference standings, and all is right in that part of Texas.
4. LA Galaxy (5-4-2). After further review, Becks is still most valuable cog in Galaxy's attack.
5. Toronto (5-4-2). Defense can't go south when team does as well.
6. Chivas USA (4-5-2). Outplayed New York for all but a few moments on Thursday but having nothing to show for it.
7. Colorado (5-6-0). Started comeback a few minutes too late.
8. Columbus (6-4-1). Crew's stock is plummeting; should have cashed out a month ago.
9. New York (4-3-3). Angel shows his worth in moment of brilliance.
10. Kansas City (3-4-3). Kevin Hartman is only thing keeping KC from having the league's worst defense.
11. DC United (4-7-1). There's life in United after all.
12. San Jose (3-6-1). Avenged home loss to Columbus, and scored a pair of goals in the process.
13. Real Salt Lake (3-5-3). If RSL can't get wins at home, they have absolutlely no hope of anything.
14. FC Dallas (3-5-4). The wheels on FC Dallas have fallen off, fallen off, fallen off...
