A pall hangs over them
As the host country, U.S. Soccer is running the media and pressbox for CONCACAF here at the HDC, even though the U.S. team is playing in Florida. I just got settled in the press box and said hello to the USSF media guys. They were polite, but subdued. Yesterday's result has left them gloomy, no doubt.
The field looks great though, and there's just a light bit of cloud cover. Great day for soccer in Los Angeles.
Nice to see the inside of the HDC again!
ReplyDeleteHave you guys been able to re-connect with the Galaxy at all since their return?
It's like they have a media black out in effect of something...
I think the Galaxy reports to practice tomorrow, they've had the week off.
ReplyDeleteGod, the stadium looks gorgeous. Galaxy's really blessed to be able to call a place like this, home.

ReplyDeleteThe HDC has actually gotten a lot of compliments from foreign players who come here.
ReplyDelete"Esta cancha es preciosa," said Nacho Novo last year when Rangers were here.
I bet USSF was dissapointed with the attendance in Florida as well.
