Galaxy lose shootout

The Galaxy opened up their Asian tour with a 2-1 loss to FC Seoul. Technically, the game was a draw but after the 1-1 tie the match went to a shootout where the Koreans dominated. David Beckham was the only Galaxy player to convert his attempt.

Beckham set up the goal as he sprang Alan Gordon free, and Gordon converted the short-range attempt. But the hosts tied the game on a penalty kick several minutes later.

The match drew 34,000 fans to the 65,000-seat stadium. I don't know what their expectations were but it seems that the turnout was a disappointment. So if you guessed 34,000 in the earlier post, consider yourself a winner. However, everyone proclaimed the match a sellout. However, just another one of you guessed 1 dollar so perhaps that's our winner since everyone else went over.

So, just another one of you, come on down!
