Pardon me if I'm wrong but didn't Roy Lassiter have the benefit of a few more scheduled league games back in 1996? Can anyone remember how many games MLS teams played back in 1996? The fact the league is better, LE has actually missed a few games, played in several other competitions, and has less scheduled league games speaks volumes about his season, that he could still challenge the old record (very unlikely he will).
