Jim Moorhouse, director of communications at US Soccer, mentioned a blog item to me today while I was waiting to interview players. So now people inside the federation are reading us, at least on occasion.
Also, look who gets a mention in the minute-by-minute account of a U.S. team practice. Here's a hint - it's not me, as I'm hardly ever early to anything.
of the three youngsters, Nguyen, Hill and Davies, who has looked best in camp thus far? Will any of them get the start vs. China?
ReplyDeleteI like Lee's style, but each of the forwards has had their moments.
ReplyDeleteOne of the three I definitely expect to be starting against China, but it depends how Bradley wants to go. Does he want a shifty, tricky player like Nguyen? Does he want more of a classic target? The players offer different skill sets, really.
Check it out. Timmy was ranked pretty high on this thing. Maybe you could get a reaction out of him.

Notice how it says that Preki showed up three minutes after I did?
ReplyDeleteWe carpooled, and he had to use the bathroom so i went straight down into the training session...
...okay, maybe not :)
I thought AC also got a shout-out...sort of.
ReplyDeleteThe last entry in the ussoccer blog says that Keller was still hanging around talking to a reporter. I figured that was Andrea getting the scoop for that great interview?
Nope - I'd actually done my Keller interview the day before. I try not to keep players too long. If there was a shout-out to me, it was in the mention of reporters who had asked for multiple interviews. I'm always asking to talk to four, five players and then getting a look and a "Two players - three max, so you have to choose," in response.
